When my son, Christian, was born in 1980, I searched for soft, high-quality all-cotton clothes like I'd grown up with in Sweden. But I had little success. So on a trip to Sweden, I went shopping. My friends in America loved what I brought back and wanted to know where they could buy the same great clothes.
From the beginning, the response has been wonderful. Parents like the bright colors and patterns, the soft quality fabrics, the construction details that don't "itch" or "pinch" tender skin. They've discovered that even after several washings and lots of play time, the colors are still as bright, the fabric is still as soft and the knees and elbows haven't given out.
We've grown a lot since that first catalog, adding an adult line, even opening a few retail stores. My grandmother Hanna would be proud of our on-going commitment to high-quality 100% premium cotton - soft against tender skin, yet durable enough to hold up through many a mud puddle. We treat our customers and our employees as family (most of us are parents, so there's always a child or two in the office). We give back to our community, by donating to Hanna Andersson Children's Foundation. And, most important, we listen to our customers - they've taught us a lot over the years.
